Explanation of Emil Boc about the large number of cases
The large number of confirmed cases in Cluj, as well as the cumulative incidence, which is constantly increasing, is due to the large number of tests carried out, said Emil Boc this Tuesday, during the first ordinary meeting of the City Council, according to Actual de Cluj.
The mayor mentioned that in Cluj around 2,800 tests are carried out per day, compared to other counties of similar size, such as Prahova or Dolj, where the test capacity is less than 500.
Emil Boc also asked his citizens to give up parties, birthday celebrations and to limit contact with other people as much as possible.
“As things are now, there is no chance to relax”, Boc said.
On Wednesday, 356 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed in Cluj.
