Prime Minister Ludovic Orban says he is concerned about the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases and that this growth must be stopped “at all costs”, but without affecting the economy. This, given that there are 368 localities where the contagion rate has exceeded 3 cases per thousand inhabitants in the last 14 days.
„Europe is facing a dramatic increase in the number of new coronavirus infections. The comparative situation could give us a state of satisfaction, but we must be even more careful and vigilant in all our actions in the next period of the battle against COVID-19. It is clear that many countries are facing an almost inexplicable increase in the number of cases and many countries are taking restrictions as during the first wave ”, said Ludovic Orban at the Government meeting.
„Our goal must be to stop the increase in the number of cases at all costs, obviously keeping the economy in a working state, without economic damage, without endangering the jobs of Romanian citizens, but at the same time firmly implementing all the decisions we have made ”, he added.
This, given that 368 localities exceeded the contagion rate of 3 per thousand inhabitants, 15 more than yesterday, according to the head of DSU, Raed Arafat. Here they ordered “the measures established by the Government, the mandatory mask in open spaces, the closing of cinemas,” he said.
