We need to review very quickly how the public health system works, which will allow the rapid identification of cases, contacts, their tests and their isolation that will slow down growth, ”Alexandru Rafila told TVR on Tuesday night.

Asked if the measures that have been adopted are sufficient, Rafila explained that, in his opinion, they are not sufficient.

“The measures taken so far are probably not enough because, from my point of view, certain measures were taken too late and the public health system has been dysfunctional, for the most part, since June,” Rafila replied.
He explained that “a package of effective measures must cover all levels.”

The Strategic Communication Group announced 4,724 new cases of SARS-VOC-2 infection on Tuesday, bringing the total number of VOCID-19 cases to 217,216. There were also 104 deaths, the highest number since the outbreak of the pandemic, the balance was 6,574. Currently, 824 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care.
