The Timiş court postponed, on Tuesday, the ruling on the validation of Dominic Fritz’s term as mayor, which was contested by three Timişoara residents.
The Timiş Court press office confirmed to AGERPRES that “the ruling was postponed to Wednesday.”

The inauguration of the elected mayor Dominic Fritz, with the support of the USR PLUS Alliance, was supposed to take place on Tuesday, but the ceremony was postponed until after the pronouncement of the court magistrates, in file 25174/325/2020, opened about this case.
The appellants are former Radio Timişoara DJ Călin Narcis Petrescu, Monica Hărmănescu, professor at Banat University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Timişoara, and Adrian Popescu, ALDE’s candidate for mayor of Timişoara in the local elections in September.
