Five regions and the Capital have a contagion rate of more than 3 per thousand inhabitants. The last county to enter the red scenario is Tmiș, where the infection rate reached 3.02. In total, 2,844 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed out of 8,709 tests in the country, given that fewer tests are processed over the weekend.
The highest incidence in the country, at the county level, is in Alba – 3.75 per thousand. 90 new infections have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
They are followed by Bucharest and Cluj, with an infection rate of 3.51. There have been 520 new cases in the Capital since the last balance sheet, while in Cluj there are 199 new cases.
In Harghita, where the infection rate is 3.33, 32 cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.
Sălaj, the county that entered the red stage over the weekend, has an incidence of 3.16, with only 4 new confirmed cases since the last assessment.
Tmiș, which today exceeded the incidence of 3 per thousand, has the highest number of new cases after Bucharest: 263.
Only 14 provinces of the country remained in the green scenario, with an index below 1.5. The lowest infection rate is found in Vrancea (0.79 per thousand inhabitants), Buzău (0.87), Olt (0.93), Mehedinți and Tulcea (0.95) and Argeș (0.96).
