The restriction of night traffic is a measure used by several European states, and many wonder if this is also possible in Romania. Prime Minister Ludovic Orban was asked if he was considering such a move. , taking into account that several cities in Romania, including Bucharest, have exceeded the incidence threshold of 3 cases of COVID-19 per 1,000 inhabitants.

“We are evaluating such a decision, we want to see instead the effect of the measures that we have established by law and by the Government’s Decision to extend the alert state in case of exceeding the index from 3 to 1000. It is evaluated because there are already important localities , including Bucharest, where we follow the results of the application of the current measures, “Orban replied.

“Our goal is for people to lead normal lives. Our goal is for the economy to operate with normal parameters. Our goal is that all activities, as far as possible, are carried out so that human life is seen least affected by the epidemic. These are our objectives. Of course, we can achieve these objectives only if we have the cooperation of society as a whole, of all companies, institutions, opinion makers. The observance of the norms of Sanitary protection can allow the development of a normal life, without the virus reaching a level that forces us to make restrictive decisions ”, added Ludovic Orban.

Regarding the parliamentary elections, the prime minister said that no additional measures will be imposed, but will be “the same measures as in the local campaign.”
