Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said on Saturday that a possible decision to restrict traffic at night due to the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic is being evaluated, Agerpres reports.
The Prime Minister was asked if he is considering such a measure given that more and more localities have crossed the threshold of three COVID-19 cases per 1000 inhabitants.
“We are evaluating such a decision, we want to see instead the effect of the measures that we have established by law and by the Government’s Decision to extend the alert state in case of exceeding the index from 3 to 1000. It is evaluated because there are already important localities , including Bucharest, where we follow the results of the application of the current measures, “Orban replied.
When asked if additional measures would be imposed in the parliamentary election campaign in the context of a sharp increase in infections, he said there would be “the same measures as in the local election campaign.”
