Fălticeni Mayor Cătălin Coman, Vice President of PSD Suceava, the first to express his discontent in public space, said that PSD violated the statute because it did not consult the county party organization when setting lists for parliamentary elections.
“I have no way to support the lists for the parliamentary elections. I do not believe in this list. In this list there are people who lost the elections or who have nothing to do with Suceava,” Coman said.
The mayor, who won the local elections with more than 70 percent of the electorate’s votes, is so outraged that he has announced that he will not campaign for the PSD in the December 6 elections. Instead, he will consult the lists of the other parties in Suceava and support a person who will support the development of Fălticeni.
Cătălin Coman is not the only unsatisfied party. Another 30 mayors of the PSD of Suceava support his protest.
“During the last three days, I have spoken with at least 30 mayors in Suceava County and they are all extremely dissatisfied. We fight hard. We are ignored and humiliated. My colleagues are with me. Not to mention that many party members, with position, without position, They said that they will not campaign for the PSD in this election and that we will reorient each of us. I will not campaign for the PSD either, “said Mayor Coman, who is the vice president of the PSD organization in Suceava County. He won the local elections with a score of more than 70 percent.
Cătălin Coman believes that PSD Suceava runs the risk of obtaining the lowest score in history in the parliamentary elections.
“It is a mockery of all PSD members in Suceava. We were not consulted, the candidates were not put to a political vote. The party’s status was violated,” said Cătălin Coman.
PSD Suceava has already submitted the candidate lists to the County Elections Office. In the Chamber of Deputies, the list is opened by the current deputy Eugen Bejinariu, followed by the former Mirela Elena Adomnicăi, Popescu Vlad and the leader of the young social democrats, George Soldan. Vlad Popescu is the son of Cristian Popescu Piedone.
When asked if he has a problem with Vlad Piedone, the mayor of Fălticeni said he doesn’t even know him. It bothers him that PSD Suceava organization has been ignored.
The PSD branch in Suceava is headed by Senator Ioan Stan, as president. He became infected with SARS-VOC-2, developed a severe form of the disease, and was hospitalized for a month. For this reason, the parliamentarian of Suceava Eugen Bejenariu was in charge of drawing up the lists.
