The other hospitals, Floreasca, Universitar, Sf. Ioan and Pantelimon, are COVID support hospitals in intensive care, in Pantelimon we have 20 beds, 10 in Floreasca, 11 in Universitar and 10 in Sf. “In Suceava, we have that intensive care unit for infectious diseases, but we are currently analyzing the possibility of additional beds for ATI in the county hospital. At Mureş we have a capacity of 61 intensive care beds, putting another 20 into operation this week. In that complex in the Multipurpose Room we have 20 beds – 10 beds will be operational this week as well and another 10 beds next week. In Cluj, COVID support was put into operation at Clujana Hospital, the municipal hospital. The appointment of Berbeceanu as Prefect of the Capital, discussed this Thursday

Regarding the possible appointment, by government decision, of Traian Berbeceanu as prefect of the Capital, Prime Minister Ludovic Orban said that this possibility exists.

“I could not announce my decision to change the prefect of the Capital on Monday, before a fundamental meeting chaired by the prefect of the Capital, the tea of the Municipal Committee on Emergency Situations. Today I can tell you «Yes, I made the decision to change the prefect of the Capital. Yes, on Thursday, at the Government meeting, we will make this change. Yes, Traian Berbeceanu is among the possible candidates for the position of prefect who is being evaluated »“Explained the prime minister.

Orban added that he can hold the position of prefect of the Capital without being a senior official, asked whether Berbeceanu should not compete to be an official and then be appointed to the Institution of the Prefect of Bucharest.

“The prefect function can be filled permanently or exercising the powers of prefect. So there is the possibility of occupying this position without being a senior official. In fact, the number of officials, because it is known that the legislation has changed, was later attacked in the CCR, the high officials won in the courts. It was a whole story during the PSD governments with high officials and there were practically no competitions for senior officials. Because of this, the group of senior officials for public positions, such as prefects, general secretaries, assistant general secretaries in ministries and agencies, is very limited. That is why we appeal, it is a legal form by which the powers of the prefect are practically exercised for a limited period, after the elections to clarify the situation in this regard .“Clarified the prime minister.
