A first example is that of Serban Nicolae, who was not included in the lists for the parliamentary elections. The politician announced today that he has resigned from the Social Democratic Party.
Before the next elections, two other well-known names of the PSD are left out. They are Viorica Dăncilă, former Prime Minister of Romania and candidate for the presidency in 2019, and Carmen Dan, former Minister of the Interior. Both politicians were promoted by Liviu Dragnea, former president of the PSD.
Dăncilă had received a first major blow after the local elections, when she was changed from the position of president of the PSD Women’s Organization. For the rest, in a previous formula of the PSD Teleorman lists for Parliament, Carmen Dan appeared in second place for the Senate, considered ineligible, according to Antena 3.
Profound changes after consultations with mayors, but also with simple members
