On Thursday evening, in Antama 3, Virgil Guran, an advisor to Prime Minister Ludovic Orban, revealed the reason why the appointment of Nicușor Dan to the post of mayor of the Capital is delayed.
Asked if the capital city prefecture could organize the inauguration ceremony of Nicusor Dan as mayor general, Virgil Guran replied that “yes, of course, because it is the prerogative of the capital prefect.” “As you know, we have a problem with the Captaila prefect,” added Guran.
“I tell you with certainty that Prime Minister Ludovic Orban did not give such a provision and that the NLP and the Prime Minister unconditionally support Nicusor Dan, the condition of his entry into the NLP was not set. I don’t know if he did it deliberately or why he made this decision, but the law says that the prefect must reverse it, ”Virgil Guran also said.
Nicușor Dan claims he cannot hold office due to 52 appeals filed against him
The elected mayor general, Nicusor Dan, declared on Thursday that the inauguration of his mandate will be delayed for at least one more week, due to 52 appeals filed by PSD councilors and “close” members of the party.
“We are four weeks away from the elections. There are many cities, many municipalities where incumbent mayors have already taken office for a few days and have begun to solve the problems of the inhabitants. They are mayors of all political colors. Bucharest, however, in the General City Hall, we will wait at least one more week due to the irresponsible attitude of the PSD. We are talking about 52 requests for appeal made by PSD councilors and close relatives of the PSD to the decision of the Court by which validated my candidacy. 52 appeal requests that will be discussed on Monday by the Bucharest Court of Appeal, “he said.
“There is talk of electoral fraud, in the same conspiratorial style that the PSD has accustomed us to in recent years. These requests are copied and pasted together. Spelling mistakes are also taken from each other. And they are demanded by them, neither more nor less, now four weeks after the elections, than the resumption of local elections in Bucharest ”, said the elected mayor general.
Nicusor Dan accused Gabriela Firea of ”cowardice” and “resentful attitude”
“First of all, I note the cowardice of the former PSD mayor Firea, who made her subordinates sign these appeals and did not sign them herself, if she really wants to challenge the electoral result. And then I want to notice the resentful attitude and the evil and ill will of a character who has posed for years in the incarnation of Christian virtues ”, he mentioned.
