Former K1 fighter Daniel Ghiță, former member of the United Romania Party, opens the PSD candidate list for the Chamber of Deputies, in Ilfov, for the parliamentary elections on December 6. Ghita stands out for her Facebook posts promoting conspiracy theories about the COVID pandemic and advocating against wearing a mask.

The PSD has tried in recent weeks to break with the past and renounce controversial names on the lists of the future Parliament. He resigned those who changed the laws of justice, or the ultra-nationalist wing represented by Liviu Pleșoianu that did not get a place on the lists. In addition, party leaders convinced names from the health area to join the PSD. This is how Alexandru Rafila or Adrian Streinu-Cercel, visible personalities during the COVID crisis, who promoted anti-Covid protection and security measures, arrived on the lists.

However, other personalities promoting conspiracy theories have found their place on PSD lists, talking about “anti-Romanian campaigns” and writing on Facebook about how the mask “lowers immunity”, without providing any evidence or without have no professional recommendation. .

This is the case of former K1 fighter, Daniel Ghiță, who also passed through the United Romania Party, now the first to reach the PSD Ilfov list for the Chamber of Deputies.

On Facebook, Ghiță writes about Romanians “manipulated by gangs, who pay a lot of money and carry out anti-Romanian campaigns”, “sowing fear”, “suppression of the Orthodox Christian religion” and expresses his medical opinions although he does not recommend anything about it .

“The Swedes had no quarantine, no fines, they didn’t wear a mask and they are not victims of DSP gangs and an incompetent GuWerner! If immunity decreases, the death rate is higher. Wearing this mask happens: immunity decreases! (…) Now, restrictions and they forbid us to go to church, otherwise we die! It is a diabolical plan of dehumanization! ”Writes Daniel Ghiță, in one of the posts on Facebook.
