Senator Șerban Nicolae and Deputy Liviu Pleșoianu resigned from the PSD, after the party failed to put them on the list for the December 6 parliamentary elections. Political sources claim that the two would run on behalf of another political party.

PSD president Marcel Ciolacu announced a day ago that Șerban Nicolae was not proposed by any county organization to run for the Senate or the Chamber of Deputies. Șerban Nicolae was the leader of the PSD senators and president of the Senate Legal Commission, known for its assault on the laws of justice.

“In life, one door closes, another opens,” Nicolae wrote on Facebook, before resigning from PSD.

The deputy Liviu Pleșoianu also leaves the party, also left out of the lists.

“From this moment, our paths diverge. And those who know me know that if I make the decision to leave somewhere, I will never look back. The PSD has been taken by executioners of any principle, by people of the glue who are today doubling and inventing new versions that begin to fight with their versions of the day before yesterday. Whoever accepts such a thing, be healthy! I do not accept! “, writes Liviu Pleșoianu.

Senator Liviu Pop, former Minister of Education, may also leave the PSD. Pop is conducting an opinion poll among his Facebook followers, asking him whether he should remain in the PSD or run for another party, after being removed from parliamentary lists.
