After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 4,848 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19), these being cases that have not previously had a positive test.
Apart from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 773 people were positively reconfirmed.

Between 20.10.2020 (10:00) – 21.10.2020 (10:00) 69 deaths were reported (44 men and 25 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacau, Bistrița- Năsăud, Brăila, Caraș-Severin, Cluj, Constanța, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Gorj, Harghita, Hunedoara, Iași, Maramureș, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu, Suceava, Teleorman, Timiș, Ilfov and Bucharest.
Of these, 10 deaths were recorded in the age category 50 to 59 years, 18 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 18 deaths in the age category 70 to 79 years, and 23 deaths in the age group age over 80 years.

In health units, the total number of people hospitalized for COVID-19 is 10,250. Of these, 766 are hospitalized in ATI.
