In the current situation, there are still attempts at misinformation. We look for the culprits after the crisis, not now

Raed Arafat spoke to Digi24 about the current health crisis. The head of DSU believes that the world is beginning to understand the seriousness of the situation, in a context in which many already know they are sick. “There are still attempts at misinformation, there are still attempts to give misinformation, but we are at the moment when we have to put aside the search for the culprits,” Arafat said.

Raed Arafat: I think people are starting to understand now and I will tell you why. Because, unfortunately, many already have acquaintances who are sick. We receive phone calls from acquaintances, from friends, everyone has someone who has entered Intensive Care, or who is about to enter there.

The population is beginning to notice that the so-called “poor flu”, as it was called, is not a “poor flu”, but is much more serious.

I think many unfortunately came to see this when their relatives got infected and got to a pretty serious stage.

We now have a fellow firefighter who arrived in intensive care today. One of the inspection chiefs, for example … Today they informed me, after yesterday he was on oxygen, today he is in intensive care. She is one of the people who has understood what it is for a long time and yet she has also been infected. I hope we can get him out of there safely.

Now, looking at these situations, I think the world sees the general situation much better.

There are more attempts at misinformation, there are more attempts to give wrong information, there are more attempts to decrease, there are more attempts to find culprits. We are at the moment when we have to put aside the search for the culprits, to point the finger at one and the other. Now is the time for all of us to work together.

Let’s leave the guilty side and point the finger at one and the other. Now is the time for all of us to work together. We leave that with the show after we get over the situation.

In the current situation, all efforts must be focused on solving the problem and come to the aid of medical personnel, to support patients in solving the problem, not to end up in dramatic situations.
