Likewise, since the last information made by GCS, the results of 445 tests processed before the last 24 hours and delivered until October 20 have been reported.

In Romania, 20,352 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated in their homes and 9,880 people are in institutional isolation. In addition, 50,285 people are in home quarantine and 16 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 2,514 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 1,241 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform citizens.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law No. 55/2020 in relation to some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 5,220 penalties for minor offenses, amounting to 837,030 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 11 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.
