The prefecture of the capital continued to sink and on Monday night it sent a new decision of the Municipal Committee for Emergency Situations correcting a previous decision, issued during the afternoon. According to the new decisions, the nurseries remain open and the universities, which enjoy autonomy, are eliminated from the list of institutions that have to do education exclusively online.

UPDATE 22:20 Contacted by Digi24, the spokesperson for the Prefecture, Mariana Țipișcă, specified that nurseries and extracurricular centers do not have the activity regulated by the Ministry of Education and therefore are not covered by the decision of the Prefecture on the development of educational activities exclusively in line. She said it was “a material error correction”. At the insistence of journalists, who asked her if this means that for children who go to kindergartens and after school the risk of contagion is not so great, the spokeswoman had a nervous reaction (“Are you leaving me for a bit ?! Will you let me talk? ) and finally hung up. Here’s the discussion:

Initial novelty:

Initially, in the Decision bearing n. 24, it was said in art. 1 point 6 that “teaching activities that involve face-to-face presence are temporarily suspended, from kindergarten, gym, pre-university and College, the courses are conducted online (scenario 3) ”.

In the new Decision, no. 25, it is specified that art. 1, point 6 of the previous resolution and “teaching activities that presuppose face-to-face presence in educational units are temporarily suspended, applying scenario 3 (participation of all preschool and students in online activities / lessons).

The spokeswoman for the Prefecture, Mariana Țipișcă, specified that a “material error” was corrected. Basically, daycare (considered preschool education) and universities are removed from the new decision. He also said that after school and kindergartens can operate according to the joint order of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Labor.

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban had said on Monday that after-school and nursery schools could operate if they wanted, noting that they were not part of activities that were subject to restrictions when the new coronavirus rate of 3 per thousand inhabitants was exceeded.
