ALDE leader Calin Popescu Tariceanu resigned from the party. According to some political sources, he will run on the Pro Romania lists, in the parliamentary elections on December 6.

The ALDE management decided, on October 8, to approve the merger protocol between ALDE and PRO Romania.

ALDE’s decision to merge with Pro Romania will be validated at the Extraordinary Congress that will take place on November 8.

The procedures for the organization of the parliamentary elections on December 6 stipulate that the deadline for the submission of lists for the parliamentary elections is October 22.

The legal provisions in the event of a merger of two parties oblige ALDE and PRO Romania to appear on a common list, and the decision of the Permanent Delegation of ALDE to approve the merger with PRO Romania implies the obligation of all candidates in the parliamentary elections to apply for the PRO Romania list. This implies assuming the membership of the PRO Romania party.

This obligation belongs to all ALDE members who are going to stand in the parliamentary elections and is also addressed to the president of the ALDE, Calin Popescu Tariceanu ”, is shown in a press release sent by the ALDE party.
