The increase in the pension point is the main explanation for the large number of retirement applications registered by the Suceava County School Inspectorate.

For example, ten teachers motivated the increase of the pension point in their retirement applications.

The fact that more and more teachers are requesting retirement is also explained by the fact that they want to get rid of the stress of the courses, including online, the risk of disease in the face of the new coronavirus pandemic, red scenarios and, in general, the situation. always fluctuating in the Romanian educational system.

“Withdrawal requests have been running for about two weeks. Although these teachers, who are of retirement age, have asked for continuity for this school year, they have now changed their minds and want to retire. We notice a higher retirement rate in compared to other years, and this is because the pension point has increased a lot, and the pension has become more attractive than the department, ”said the school deputy inspector Ioan Puiu.

“This is why the teachers submitted their retirement applications in the first month of this school year. We have ten so far, but the requests continue to arrive almost daily and, compared to previous years, there are many, taking into account that only a month has passed since this school year ”, explained Inspector Ioan Puiu.
