The 20-year-old man who received the largest fine ever applied to a driver in Romania is Emanuel Costel Hanganu and lives in Siret, Suceava county.

He was pursued by the police for about 70 kilometers and was recorded by video systems in trucks while committing 16 traffic irregularities.

The deviations consisted of excessive speed (well above 100 km / h in the locality), without stopping at the signal or moving in the opposite direction, registering at different times and at different kilometer indicators, so they accumulated. A single speeding radar record means a 90-day license suspension.

A total of 16 sanctions were reached.

Emanuel Costel Hanganu had a driver’s license and was not drunk, writes Monitorul de Suceava.

Initially, it was thought that he wanted to distract the passing crew, but police believe this is just extreme terror.

The events occurred on the night of September 1-2. He committed all illegal acts at the wheel of a BMW 320D car on the route between Darmanesti – Suceava – Falticeni and again Suceava.

He even tried to hit a policeman who tried to hit him and even ran over the police car, turning his back on him to get out of a dead end. It happened inside the city of Suceava and he managed to escape.

The fugitive driver lost control again in a dangerous curve, in Adancata, and this time the car took the stage, also reports Monitorul de Suceava. Here, the young man got behind the wheel and ran on foot. The policemen who were chasing him on foot managed to catch him.

The young man was fined a total of 20,880 lei and his license was suspended until 2024 for speeding, signaling and reversing without stopping.
