Also running for the Chamber of Deputies are Ioana Constantin, Sebastian Moise, Ştefan Florescu, Gabriel Rădulescu.

Doru Onaca is also on the PMP Bucharest list for the Senate.

The objective of the PMP is to achieve a 10% score in the parliamentary elections

“It seems that we are the first party to present its list of candidates for Bucharest to the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate today. We are going through a very difficult period, we have never had a situation like this, in the middle of a public health crisis we will have parliamentary elections. Therefore, I think that the entire political class has an extremely important test ahead of them, that of convincing Romanians that democracy cannot be suspended, even in such situations, and we must give a responsible vote to a Parliament that has a extremely difficult task, that of preparing the country for an extremely difficult period. A Parliament that must come to give good laws for the economy, for health, for education ”, said Eugen Tomac at the headquarters of the BEM.

The PMP leader regretted that Romanians must vote for a Parliament of 500 MPs, and not 300, as decided in the referendum. Tomac recalled that since 2018 there is a project to reduce parliamentarians to 300, but so far the Chamber of Deputies has not voted on it.

“There is a need for a real reform of Parliament and we are going to go to Parliament to convey this message, to continue the fight to reduce the number of parliamentarians to 300, to make much more efficient the institutions that are under the coordination of Parliament, such as It is, for example, the Ombudsman, who must be elected by the citizens and we will fight for this objective in the future Parliament. We are ready to raise our shoulders so that the future parliamentary majority applies much more to the priorities of the country and not to issues that put Parliament in a bad position. We are not allowed to play with the destiny of the country, giving extremely bad laws for people, for interest groups or for people who have nothing in common with expectations that Romanians have towards the political class ”, said the president of the PMP.
