Raed Arafat, head of the Department of Emergency Situations (DSU), wanted to clarify, on Saturday night, in relation to some statements about which he says were misunderstood. The idea launched by Arafat referred to our country’s lost fight against the coronavirus, so the doctor posted a message on his Facebook account.

Today, several news agencies released a statement attributed to me about the “loss of the fight with COVID-19.” The statement was made during last night’s show on Digi24.
The only reference in the program to the loss of the fight with COVID-19 was when we talked about our colleague from the Fetesti emergency department, who lost the fight with COVID-19 dying Thursday night to Friday, ”wrote Raed Arafat.

He referred to the death of the head of the UPU of Fetești

The Secretary of State for the Interior Ministry also said that “I truly believe that together we can succeed in limiting the impact of the pandemic in Romania and saving as many lives as possible. You will never hear me say that we have lost a fight because this would implicitly mean that we have nothing to do, which is not true at all. Personally, I believe that the measures we take and implement will be the basis to stop the increase in the number of cases, reach a plateau and start a downward trend. This takes time and effort from all of us. I thank the press agencies that corrected the initial news! ”Raed Arafat wrote.
“Unfortunately, after a month of clashes with COVID-19, we unfortunately lost it,” Arafat told Digi 24, referring to the death of Mioara Neagu, head of the emergency unit at Fetești Hospital.
