The National Authority for Consumer Protection announces that it has received three new alerts about protective masks that do not comply.
The first RAPEX alert was issued by Italy and refers to a protective mask with insufficient retention of particles. An excessive amount of particles or microorganisms can pass through the mask, increasing the risk of infection if not combined with additional protective measures, writes mediafax.ro.

Another alert came from Luxembourg. This mask is CE marked but is not certified as protective equipment. Therefore, the product may not meet health and safety requirements and may not be adequately protected when combined with additional measures.
The third RAPEX alert was issued by Latvia for a protective mask that promotes potential protection against viral particles, but its filtering ability has not been certified by a relevant European body. Therefore, the product may not meet the health and safety requirements.
