A 73-year-old man committed suicide after testing positive for coronavirus three times. He was hospitalized at the Sibiu Pneumoftiziology Hospital and threw himself on the window of the first floor living room.
Sibiu prefectural spokeswoman Andreea Ștefan relayed that the incident occurred on the night of Thursday to Friday, around 2 a.m., writes mediafax.ro.

The man, a 73-year-old man, positively confirmed after the SARS-CoV-2 test, threw himself on the window of the room located on the first floor of the Sibiu Pneumoftiziology Hospital.
“He was urgently hospitalized in the ATI ward, in a very serious condition. During this day (Friday – no.), The man died, ”said Ștefan.

Medical sources told MEDIAFAX that the man had tested positive for the first time in September, and currently has three positive tests.
The Sibiu Police were notified ex officio and opened a criminal investigation to establish all the circumstances in which the incident occurred.

He is the second hospitalized COVID-19 patient to commit suicide. In May, another positive man, in treatment at the Infectious Diseases Department of the Sibiu County Clinical Hospital, hanged himself in the living room bathroom.
