The Health Minister expects a gradual increase in the number of COVID-19 infections in the coming days and ensures that the current measures imposed by the authorities will take effect in two or three weeks. Nelu Tătaru calls on the population to respect health standards, because the medical system, although expanding, is understaffed.
“We continue at the same rate of increase in the number of new cases. As you can see, the municipalities of Bucharest are in the same counties where we have growth in the community. We will have a gradual increase in the coming days, since the measures imposed two days ago, and from Monday with private events, should come into force in the next two or three weeks, but it depends a lot on each one of us. ”, Declared Minister Nelu Tătaru, after visiting the mobile hospital in Leţcani.
Asked by journalists how long all the places in intensive care would be occupied, taking into account recent developments, the Minister of Health said that we should think about how to make the places in hospitals stop being occupied by more and more cases. COVID-19.
“I also have a question, how can I not take the seats at ATI? We know it very clearly. We, the medical system, are expanding. As you can see, we ask hospitals to prepare 10% of intensive care beds in non-COVID hospitals. We are also asking hospitals to prepare 15% of regular therapy beds in non-COVID hospitals. We are expanding, but let’s think that we have been the same medical team for 7 months, we are stretching to the maximum, but at the same time thinking that there are patients with non-COVID pathology. Let’s take care of them too. It depends a lot on us, the people of the street, if we go back at this moment not necessarily the thought, but also the approach ”, responded the Minister of Health.
