A scandal broke out in the SNSPA (National School of Political and Administrative Studies), teachers protested against the replacement of General Mihai Ionescu by the former deputy director of the SRI, General Florian Coldea, announced Ionuț Cristache, on the TVR program România 9 . SRI General (r) Florian Coldea began its activity on October 1, in the SNSPA Department of European Studies. Before becoming an Associate Professor in the Department of European Studies at SNSPA, Florian Coldea was an Associate Professor at the Faculties of Timișoara and Cluj.
“Faculty members complain that Florian Coldea’s transfer to SNSPA was done without consulting the university staff. The teachers question that Florian Coldea has gone through all the qualifications that would allow him to become an associate professor ”, the journalist Ionuț Cristache also told TVR.
A first reaction came from Mirel Curea (EvZ): After the “Miroiu” Era, in fact as a coronation, General Florian Coldea from SRI will teach at SNSPA. Vişinescu could also have taught, had he not died, the poor intellectual. That you have student children who specialize in LGBT and neo-Marxism in that institution, don’t turn your nose and that they teach there, don’t protest! You will have something to teach the students. You can start them in the subjects “Romanian Manual hired by foreign services”, “Combination information-operative in Justice” and “Severe Delay, Golden Bracelet”.
Evenimentul Zilei has revealed since 2017 the dubious course of his academic career, always being a problematic student: Dan Andronic wrote, in a material from the series “We are the State”: “The bachelor’s exam in the Faculty of Psychosociology of the National Academy of Information failed for the first time in 1995. It was not the only failure in higher education. After graduating from Industrial High School no. 11 from Arad, his first attempt at a university degree was at the Polytechnic Institute of Timișoara. It continued to be repetitive and from that moment on he benefited from the protection and help of a relative with his mother, General Dan Gheorghe, a career intelligence officer. He has worked for the Securitate since the time of General Iulian Vlad. The December 1989 revolution found him in the USLA, in a command post. A very important character in Florian Coldea’s career, to whom I will return (…) In 1995, after passing the licensing exam, he was sent among the NCOs. He managed to take the exam for the second time, in 1996, becoming an intelligence officer. From 1996 to 2005, when he obtained the rank of major in SRI, he was under the protective wing of his uncle, Dan Gheorghe. General Dan Gheorghe’s ties with the Antiterrorist Brigade commander Ștefănuț were extremely strong even before 1989 and provided Coldea with positions in the Antiterrorist Brigade. “
