Alexandru Rafila, president of the Romanian Society for Microbiology, has joined the PSD and will stand for parliamentary elections on the party’s lists. The announcement was made at a joint press conference, which was also attended by the president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu.

“Thank you for your trust. It was a difficult step for me, but I considered that I had the experience to be able to help this country, not necessarily the Social Democratic Party. We need health legislation that makes possible one goal: universal access to health services . Intolerance, polarization make collaboration impossible. We need to focus on projects. Belonging to a political party is an opportunity to make a difference in our daily lives. It is important that experienced people come together for each of the areas they know The next elections should be a reason for reflection so that in the future Parliament there is an agreement on projects “, said Alexandru Rafila.

PSD President Marcel Ciolacu announced that Alexandru Rafila has been incorporated into the PSD team to fight the pandemic in Parliament.

“I thank Mr. Rafila for joining our team and I am firmly convinced that this fight against the pandemic is not temporary. It is a long fight. Romanians need specialists in Parliament to legislate for this fight against the pandemic. It is clear that the current government is not handling this pandemic. Most of the time they look for excuses or guilty. People like Dr. Rafila must meet in the Romanian Parliament in the future. I am convinced that he will do whatever he needs to do in Parliament ”, said Marcel Ciolacu.

According to party discussions, Alexandru Rafila will open the PSD list for the Chamber of Deputies in Bucharest.
