Alexandru Rafila, president of the Romanian Society for Microbiology, has joined the PSD and will stand for parliamentary elections on the party’s lists. The announcement was made at a joint press conference, which was also attended by the president of the PSD, Marcel Ciolacu.

PSD President Marcel Ciolacu announced that Alexandru Rafila has been incorporated into the PSD team to fight the pandemic in Parliament.
“I thank Mr. Rafila for joining our team and I am firmly convinced that this fight against the pandemic is not temporary. It is a long fight. Romanians need specialists in Parliament to legislate for this fight against the pandemic. It is clear that the current government is not handling this pandemic. Most of the time they look for excuses or guilty. People like Dr. Rafila must meet in the Romanian Parliament in the future. According to party discussions, Alexandru Rafila will open the PSD list for the Chamber of Deputies in Bucharest.
