Oligosymptomatic or asymptomatic cases will remain at home under the supervision of the family doctor, and when symptoms appear they will be transferred to hospital units, says Health Minister Nelu Tătaru about COVID-19. The measure would take effect next week.
„We have an emergency ordinance in preparation, so that oligosymptomatic or asymptomatic cases remain at home under the supervision of the family doctor, and the means of transport from DSU will be scheduled for new paraclinical investigations. When symptoms appear, they are transferred to hospital units.“, Announces Nelu Tătaru.
The Health Minister says that the emergency ordinance will be approved next week.
„Family physicians, through separate contracts, in addition to insurance companies, can perform monitoring, telemedicine or provide medical services for epidemiological investigations or collection.“, Tataru also shows.
No orders can be issued to family doctors to make, apart from contract negotiations with CNAS, other medical documents, say representatives of the Romanian College of Physicians.
Therefore, the family doctor can remotely monitor COVID-19 patients, but they will not enter the outbreak.
