All hospitals in the Capital must be reorganized to create hospitalization circuits for positive COVID-19 patients. The request was sent to hospitals on Wednesday by the General Directorate of Public Health of the Municipality of Bucharest (DGSPMB).

The hospitals of the Capital received an address signed by the DGSPMB requesting the reorganization to create circuits for the hospitalization of positive COVID-19 patients.

“Given the existing epidemiological situation created by the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic and the insufficient number of beds dedicated to patients positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the Phase I, Phase II and COVID-19 support units, we request you to commit to speeding up the necessary procedures for the reorganization of the medical units with beds under its subordination in order to create circuits for the hospitalization of positive COVID-19 patients in compliance with all the legal provisions in force “, sent to the hospitals representatives of the DGSPMB.

According to them, there is an “urgent” need to increase the capacity to treat COVID-19, in the context of the progressive increase in the incidence rate accumulated at 14 days, which, on Tuesday, was 2.69 per thousand inhabitants in the capital.
