The judges summoned Clotilde Armand, winner of the Sector 1 Electoral Table, and Dan Tudorache, accused of losing the election due to fraud, to clarify the allegations before deciding on the validation of the election.

A District 1 Court magistrate discussed the case Wednesday, but postponed the ruling until Thursday.

Also on Wednesday, the District 2 Court validated Radu Mihaiu as the mayor of Sector 2, being the fifth mayor of the district to receive a favorable decision in court.

According to data from the AEP, in Sector 1, Clotilde Armand, the candidate supported by PNL and the USR PLUS Alliance, won with 40.94% of the options, respectively a number of 36,455 votes. Daniel Tudorache, PSD candidate, gathered 39.81%, which represents 35,451 votes.

However, Daniel Tudorache challenged this result and filed a criminal complaint with the Magistrates’ Special Investigation Section, after television stations broadcast images with several people entering the Electoral Bureau of Sector 1, where the ballot boxes were kept.
