Actress Conchata Ferrell, known for her role as Berta, a housekeeper on the television series “Two and a Half Men,” but also in films such as “Edward Scissorhands” and “Erin Brockovich,” has died, according to her manager Dan Spilo.
Dan Spilo told CNN that the actress passed away on October 12.
In a career spanning five decades in television and film, Ferrell was nominated three times for an Emmy, once for a role in “LA Law” in 1992 and twice for her role in “Two and a Half Men,” reports Mediafax. .
Ferrell, 77, was also a stage actress and won a Drama Desk Award in 1974.

Colleagues from “Two and a Half Men” paid tribute to him. Jon Cryer recalled Ferrell as “a handsome man” in a statement on Twitter.
“Berta’s tough exterior was an invention of the writers. Chatty’s warmth and vulnerability were her true strengths,” she wrote. “I cry for the woman I will miss and the joy she has brought so much.”
