The Central Electoral Office published the final results of the local elections on September 27. According to the data centralized by BEC, in the municipalities of the PNL it obtained a percentage of 34.58%, PSD-30.34% and the Alliance USR-PLUS – 6.58%. The rest of the parties got less than 5%.
If the PSD obtained a result higher than 30% in the mayoralties, the percentage is considerably lower in the Diputaciones (including the presidencies of the Diputaciones) and in the Local Councils.
Final results of the local elections 2020 – City Councils
NLP – 34.58% (2,578,820 votes)
PSD – 30.34% (2,262,791 votes)
USR-PLUS Alliance – 6.58% (490,362 votes)
PMP-4.73% (353,005 votri)
Pro Romania – 4.45% (331,878 votes)
UDMR – 4.01% (299,334 votes)
Independent candidates – 3.15% (235,123 votes)
ALDE – 1.67% (124,649 votes)
Even if NLP did better in the number of votes, according to BEC data, PSD has the most mayors.

NLP – 1,232 mandates of mayors
UDMR – 199 mandates of mayors
PMP – 50 mayoral terms
Pro Romania – 36 mayoral terms
USR-PLUS Alliance – 28 Mayors Mandates
