Dozens of supporters of the mayor took to the streets to celebrate the victory, the images published on social networks show that they ignore the rules to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.

In the commune of Rebra, the candidate of the Alliance for Rebra PSD-ALDE-Pro Romania, the current mayor Ştefan Danci, was re-elected, after receiving 423 votes in the September 27 elections, a number equal to those obtained by the Liberal candidate Daniel Năstuţă.

PNL won the municipality of Balaci commune, Teleorman county, after the second round of voting organized on Sunday. Liberal Ilie Calotă won the elections in the two polling stations open in the commune with fewer than 2,000 voters, partial results show.

According to the partial results published on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), in one of Balaci’s polling stations, Teleorman, the liberal candidate Ilie Calotă obtained 75.27% of the votes. In the second electoral college of the town, the representative of the PNL obtained 55.9% of the votes.

In the first round, in which five candidates for mayor of the Balaci commune were registered, the PNL candidate Calotă Ilie and the PSD candidate Tronaru Costel Ovidiu (PSD) obtained exactly the same percentage of votes: 36, 2. 3%.
