After stepping down as president of the PSD Giurgiu organization, Niculae Bădălău announced that the time had come to completely retire from political life.
Niculae Bădălău conveyed to her fellow Social Democrats that she has great confidence that they will continue their work “with commitment, professionalism and excellence.”
“Dear Giurgiu,
For all of us, Giurgiu means “FAMILY”, and family represents everything: harmony, communication, understanding, respect and, last but not least, love. Family means “HOME”, and Giurgiu is for me, and I think for you, “home”.
It is difficult to summarize a human life in a few words, but I can say that, for 30 years, while I was in the political family of the Social Democrats, I did everything in my power as this county, and Romania, as a whole, to reach its enormous development potential.
Together with our friends and fellow Social Democrats, we join hands with the local and county administration for the development of the community in which we all live. All of the county development projects were directly related to the support we had from the central level.
Significant funding from the National Local Development Program, ministerial support for project development, even with European funds, were possible because the Social Democratic Party always understood Giurgiu’s acute need for development.
I was always with the mayors of the towns of Giurgiu, regardless of which party they belonged to, and I supported their projects, knowing how important they are for the inhabitants of the region, to create dignified and civilized living conditions.
But the time has come to retire from political life.
I said at the beginning that GIURGIU IS MY FAMILY. And when I say this I mean the family that, although it goes through many tests, ups and downs, is always INCREDIBLE and UNITED. This is how I want you to stay!
My professional experience of more than 30 years, accumulated both in the public and private sectors, as well as the political experience of 30 years in PSD, make me believe that you, dear Giurgiu Social Democrats, will continue my work with INVOLVEMENT, PROFESSIONALISM and EXCELLENCE.
For these 30 years at your service, for the trust you have given me so many times, thank you. For each of you and with all your heart.
For me, politics means giving our children a better future. I trust you, dear colleagues and Social Democratic supporters of Giurgiu. I’m sure you will continue to believe in leftist politicians!

The Social Democratic Party is in reorganization after, after local elections, the presidency of several counties was lost. According to the information, Marcel Ciolacu would have demanded the resignation of those who lost the elections. Following the results, PSD lost important counties such as Giurgiu and Vrancea.
