“I hope that on Friday we will have the first hospitalized patient in the Leţcani mobile hospital. There are evaluations that are currently being made, including regarding the necessary personnel,” said Health Minister Nelu Tătaru, News.ro reports.

In turn, the president-elect of the Iaşi County Council, Costel Alexe, specified that Ia institucionesi institutions are working to expedite the obtaining of approvals for the operation of the mobile hospital.

“The slogan of the Iasi institutions is to put the mobile hospital into operation as soon as possible, receive patients there and save lives. We hope to overcome this pandemic well. We encourage the people of Iași to respect distance measures, “said Costel Alexe.

On September 22, Iaşi City Council President Maricel Popa (PSD) announced that he will file a criminal complaint against Ministers Nelu Tătaru and Costel Alexe, for thwarting the fight against diseases, accusing the two cabinet members of obstructing the operation of the Leţcani mobile hospital.

On September 21, Maricel Popa stated that after the Iaşi Health Directorate issued the operating license for the mobile hospital in Leţcani, the Liberals are trying to block the effective start of activity in this medical unit.

The mobile hospital was originally scheduled to arrive in Iasi on May 18 and be installed two weeks later, but the deadlines have been postponed, and representatives of the Iasi County Council invoked the quarantine in Turkey.

The president of the Iaşi City Council (CJ), Maricel Popa, declared, on April 21, that she signed the contract for the acquisition of the modular hospital, with the company SDI Global LLC from Turkey being the winner of the tender. The value of the contract is 13.2 million euros.
