The teenager decided to end his days by jumping from the ninth floor of an apartment block in Oradea. The family is in a state of shock and cannot explain in any way the gesture of the young man, described by acquaintances as a quiet and withdrawn child. Police are investigating the teen’s death as a suspect.
The tragedy occurred on Thursday, October 8, around 8:00 p.m. The teenager, a 12th grader at “Ady Endre” High School in Oradea, came home after school and simply decided to end his days. He jumped from the ninth floor of the block where he lived, on Onetilor Street.
The family and acquaintances are in a state of shock and no one has an explanation, especially because he was a quiet and withdrawn person.
According to the police, “there are no suspicions about the circumstances of the tragedy.” The exact cause of death will be determined after the autopsy.
School is not a track
In parallel, a team of inspectors from the Bihor County School Inspectorate analyzed the student’s situation at school and found that the incident was not related to the educational space or the instructional-educational process.
“He was at school on Thursday and the incident happened Thursday night, at his house. At 8 o’clock and around 9 o’clock, both the school and we learned from our parents. We are all shocked. We are with the grieving family, ”said Bihor County School Inspectorate Deputy Inspector General Kery Hajnal, notes bihon.ro.
Contacted by journalists, the principal of the school, where the teenager was a student, refused to provide details about the case and the student.
“We do not know if there was a problem in the family. It is not known if it was a suicide or an accident. Only the police can establish this. I cannot give you details, please respect the family’s grief,” said the director of the Institute. Ady Endre, Vad Marta, according to the local press.
The death of the teenager was declared suspicious. The investigation is coordinated by a prosecutor from the Bihor Court Attached Prosecutor’s Office.
