The Minister of Health, Nelu Tătaru, spoke about the return to the state of emergency in Romania.
When asked what would happen if the number of COVID-19 cases continues to increase in Romania, if we will be in a state of emergency again and will be quarantined, Health Minister Nelu Tătaru said that:
“At the moment we don’t have this perspective, but we have to think quite pragmatically. We inform and accept everything that comes from the prehospital, but we are the same people in the medical corps, whom we separate, transfer … We have to think about one thing: we have a moment when medical personnel have a certain confrontation.
Today I went to hospitals in Bucharest and Ilfov. We are increasing capacity and we have more beds equipped, but let’s see if we follow the rules. Let’s not force a system to see how far it goes. We now have 144 test points and can process 27,000 tests per day. We go all over the country and look for empty beds. I took patients from Bucharest to Bârlad. We don’t have to see what happens at 3,000. Those who are in the prehospital should think ”, declared the minister, live on TVR 1.
