DSP proposed closing restaurants and banning private events with more than 50 people in Bucharest

The Bucharest Public Health Directorate presented several “technical” recommendations to the Bucharest Municipality Emergency Situations Committee, after a large number of Covid-19 infections were recorded in the capital.

According to the document, it is recommended to close restaurants, prohibit private events with more than 50 people and prohibit religious processions in the open air.

DSP states that these recommendations were formulated given that, in Bucharest, the cumulative incidence rate in the last 14 days is 1.86.

In Bucharest, the number of new cases of Covid-19 infections, registered in the last 24 hours, reached on Monday, October 5 at 562.

Recommendations made by DSP Bucharest:

-► prohibition of organizing private events in event rooms;

-► ban on private events in restaurants and cafes with more than 50 people;

-► the obligation to wear a protective mask near schools, within 100 meters;

-► closing of bars, restaurants and cafes;

-► prohibition of organizing and holding religious processions in open spaces;

-► intensification of control actions in public transport, markets, fairs and covered swimming pools;

The document will be delivered to the Municipal Committee for Emergency Situations, which will analyze the proposals at the meeting on Tuesday, October 6.
