“I saw another decision by the CCR being issued that surprised me and I suspect not just me, but that’s it. For now, it does not affect the electoral process. We have all the procedures up and running, in accordance with the legal provisions. Until the motivation of the ICR is published, the law by which Parliament has assumed the power to set the date of the elections cannot enter into force, it remains until the entry into force of the law. March 14 is not yet up for debate because the law that gives Parliament the power to set the date of the elections is not in force. the will of the people, to be a faithful mirror of the political options of Romanian citizens. Today’s parliament is voted on in 2016, it has nothing to do with the political reality, with that of the Romanians, it is a Parliament controlled by the PSD, which only makes decisions that harm Romania. Every extra day with this majority leads to decisions that can harm Romania in the medium and long term, ”Orban declared on România TV.
The independent deputy Adrian Dohotaru presented this Friday to the Senate, in an emergency procedure, a bill for which parliamentary elections will be held on March 14, 2021 and the electoral period begins on January 13. Dohotaru’s bill will be supported by the PSD in Parliament, Social Democratic sources told News.ro.
