To date, on October 4, in Romania, 135,900 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed. 108,135 patients were declared cured.

After the tests carried out at the national level, compared to the last report, there were 1,835 new cases.

To date, 5,003 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 03.10.2020 (10:00) – 04.10.2020 (10:00) were registered 56 deaths. Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 3 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 15 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 22 deaths in the age category age 70 to 79 years and 13 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

55 of the deaths registered were of patients who presented comorbidities, and one deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,826. Of these, 598 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,510,209 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these 13,770 tests 8,720 were carried out in the last 24 hours according to case definition and medical protocol, and 5,050 upon request.

In Romania, 11,378 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 7,591 people are in institutional isolation. Additionally, 23,334 people are in home quarantine and 55 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, 6,702 Romanian citizens were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19. Of these, 733 were declared cured.
