Due to some editions of the show moderated by Mihai Gâdea, “Sinteza Zilei”, the CNA members also “granted” a fine to the Antena 3 trust.
This time, the fine is worth 15,000 lei. The explanations behind the decision to reform television come again from the representatives of the National Audiovisual Council.
Antena 3, one step away from a fine 10 times greater
The sanction was proposed by CNA member Radu Herjeu and was much lighter than the one proposed by his colleague, Dorina Rusu, who wanted Antena 3 to be fined 200,000 lei.
Specifically, the articles of the Audiovisual Law and the Audiovisual Content Regulation Code proposed by Dorina Rusu would have allowed, however, only a fine of 100,000 lei. This sanction was not put to a vote.
“It seems to me that everything that happened in the programs discussed today was in the sense of denigrating a candidate. It is a coordinated campaign between the two stations (No. Antena 3 and România TV) and it seems to me that the programs are coordinated at the political level.
I think all these stories have a clear scenario and they lied to us with our money. They lied to us every day about our money, the people of Bucharest!
It seems to me that what happened during this period is a blow to the profession of journalist. I can even call it media terrorism! It is not journalism in the true sense of the word, ”said Dorina Rusu, a member of the CNA.
Television received other significant fines from the NAC
The sanction was given for the editions of the program “Synthesis of the day” that were broadcast during the electoral campaign, but it was not the first of its kind.
For example, in the September 15 edition, Gabriela Firea participated by videoconference and accusations were brought against Nicușor Dan, her opponent in the Capital Mayor’s Office.
In this edition, the moderator spoke about how Nicusor Dan’s brother would have threatened Firea with messages. Traian Băsescu’s statements about the money that Nicușor Dan allegedly took from the entrepreneurs was also discussed, writes Impact.ro.
