“We will decide on Monday, within CNSU, to reintroduce restrictions for countries that have a higher level of infection during the last 14 days than the level in Romania,” Ludovic Orban announced.
It states that for people who come to Romania and stay for a maximum period of three days, the quarantine obligation will not be imposed if they come with a COVID test conducted 48 hours before entering the country.
“If they want to stay more than three days, they will have two options: quarantine for 14 days, if they do not want to stay in quarantine for 14 days, on the fifth day they will have the opportunity to take the test, and if the test is negative, at the moment from the reception they will be able to come out of quarantine ”, explains the prime minister.
Orban also said, after the video conference he held with the prefects, that he demanded the intensification of the actions of the authorities in the fight against the spread of the coronavirus.
The latest list of countries for which the quarantine measure is established, for people arriving in Romania from countries / areas of high epidemiological risk, was updated on 08.17.2020.
For the Kingdom of Spain, the quarantine measure applies to regions where the cumulative incidence rate of new cases of disease in the last 14 days
reported per 100,000 inhabitants is higher than that registered in Romania, as follows:
a) Region of Aragon;
b) Region of Catalonia;
c) Regiunea Community of Madrid;
d) Balearic Islands;
e) Basque Country;
f) Region of Navarra.
