The National Council for the Fight against Discrimination (CNCD) decided on Wednesday, unanimously, that Andrei Caramitru must pay a fine of 5,000 lei, after writing on his social media account that the Romanian Orthodox Church (BOR) is “a demonic sect ”and“ it is an ISIS ”,“ a criminal, retrograde, backward, corrupt organization ”.
The message posted on the socialization page by Mr. Andrei Caramitru:
- “Today I officially resign from the BOR Organization. I was baptized Orthodox. I am not an atheist, I am a spiritual man. But all this called BOR is just a criminal, backward, backward and corrupt organization. And Orthodoxy as a Christian rite has become a Russian-speaking killer nightmare. The thing that keeps us out of civilization. And it has NOTHING to do with the Bible and faith. NONE. It is an ISIS. A demonic sect. So today, friends, I WILL NEVER STEAL ANYTHING IN A CHURCH ORTHODOX. Everyone gets married, baptized, etc. there – I will not go. And I will never interact with any employee of this organization again. Period. “
The CNCD ruled that the message “constitutes discrimination and violates the right to dignity.”
“The sanction of the fine for infringement of 5,000 lei was applied to Mr. Andrei Caramitru. Decision adopted unanimously by votes (9 votes)”, the CNCD transmitted on Wednesday.
