The new Dacia Logan, Dacia Sandero and Sandero Stepway models were introduced by the Romanian manufacturer owned by Renault. At the same time, more information about each model was announced.

Built on a new platform, all three models offer new features, new engines and a new transmission variant.

New Dacia Logan

Dacia Logan has new headlights and taillights, increased in size by 3.6 centimeters, reaching 4.39 meters, but also decreased in height by 1 centimeter (1,501 mm in height). The knee room available for rear passengers has been increased by 42mm and the front seat backs offer fold-down tables. The luggage compartment capacity increased by 18 liters, reaching 528 liters, and the loading threshold was reduced by almost 2 centimeters. The ground clearance is 135mm. The width of the model is 1,848 mm.

New Dacia Sandero

Dacia Sandero comes with new headlights and taillights, but the 133-millimeter ground clearance has not changed. The length is 4.08 meters and the height is 1499 mm. Sandero Stepway has 174mm ground clearance, side bumpers and a crossover look. The boot capacity of the Sandero is 328 liters. The width of the model is 1,848 mm.

New interior features

Inside, both Logan and Sandero have a steering wheel that can now be adjusted in height and depth, and optionally a single or central armrest can be purchased.

Regardless of the equipment level, the models have a smartphone holder, on-board computer display and steering wheel controls for autopilot and speed limiter, as well as a light sensor and automatic headlamp ignition.

Depending on the market and version, a new air conditioning system is available, either as standard or optionally, heated front seats (from April 2021), hands-free card with remote boot opening, electric parking brake, reversing camera, front and rear acoustic sensors for parking assistance and rain sensor with automatic windshield wiper operation.

For the first time at Dacia, an electrically opening glass canopy hatch will be available during 2021 at Sandero and Sandero Stepway.

The phone becomes an infotainment system

The new Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway are available with three multimedia systems. In the basic system, the driver’s phone can be transformed into a multimedia system via a free app and a Bluetooth or USB connection. There is a dedicated place to put the phone on board. Also available are 8-inch touchscreen infotainment systems with compatibility with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The new Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway are equipped as standard with six airbags. Available driver assistance systems include automatic emergency braking, blind spot sensor, parking assist, and ramp assist.

Engines for Dacia Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway

The engine list for the new Dacia Logan, Sandero and Sandero Stepway models offers two petrol variants and one petrol / LPG variant:

– Sce65, a three-cylinder engine, 1 liter capacity, aspirated, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission

– TCe90, a three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1 liter and turbocharger, mated to a 6-speed manual transmission or a CVT automatic transmission

– TCe 100 ECO-G, a new engine in the range, with 3 cylinders, 1 liter capacity, equipped with a turbocharger and a gasoline / LPG mixture, coupled to a 6-speed manual

The new Logan will be marketed in Romania, Spain, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Albania, Republic of Moldova, Morocco, New Caledonia and Tahiti. .
