The mayor general of the capital, Gabriela Firea, will make a statement, starting at 15:10, on her Facebook page. It is the first reaction today, after the partial results of the Bucharest elections.
On Sunday night, in a message also on Facebook, Gabriela Firea did not acknowledge the results of the exit polls.
“In the morning we will know exactly what the real result of the elections is. at least that’s what happened in Bucharest 4 years ago. Around 4-5 in the morning, about 80% of the votes were counted, and in the morning, around 8-9, the actual result could already be officially announced. Therefore, any other figures that are announced tonight, results of some polls or exit polls, cannot be the official ones, ”said Gabriela Firea.
Partial results: Nicușor Dan 42.78%, Gabriela Firea 37.99%
The independent candidate Nicusor Dan, supported by PNL and USR PLUS, obtained 42.78% of the votes for the post of mayor general of the Capital, and the current mayor, Gabriela Firea, candidate of the PSD – 37.99%, according to partial data from the Central Electoral Bureau. (BEC) centralized until 2:00 p.m., after counting around 95.29% of the votes.
In third place is Traian Băsescu, the PMP candidate, with 10.98%.
