Thus, the 3-month ROBOR index has risen steadily in the last four days by 0.02% daily, from 1.96%, the value recorded on Monday, to 2.04%, the value recorded today.

Earlier this month, on September 1 and 2, the 3-month ROBOR index traded at 2%.

On May 20, the 3-month ROBOR fell to 2.43%, below the level of the IRCC, the benchmark index for consumer credit regulated by GEO 19/2019, which was 2.44%.

The 3-month ROBOR index has been trending down since the beginning of the year, when it was 3.19% on January 3, 2020.

ROBOR is the monetary indicator according to which the variable interest rates of lei loans are calculated, as well as the interest rates of mortgage loans. Loans in lei with variable interest, granted before May 2019, depend on the variation of the ROBOR index.

The IRCC was introduced in spring 2019. The initial value was also 2.36%, and subsequently it had a fluctuating evolution.
