In the last 24 hours, 1,629 new cases of COVID-19 were registered, of the 25,494 tests carried out. Another 42 Romanians died due to coronavirus infections. 508 COVID-19 patients are hospitalized in intensive care.

To date, on September 25, in Romania, 119,683 cases of people infected with the new coronavirus (COVID – 19) have been confirmed.

96,158 patients were declared cured.

Following nationwide testing, compared to the last report, 1,629 new cases of people infected with SARS – CoV – 2 (COVID – 19) were recorded, cases that had not previously had a positive test.

Aside from the recently confirmed cases, after retesting patients who were already positive, 600 people were positively reconfirmed.

To date, 4,633 people diagnosed with COVID-19 infection have died.

Between 24.09.2020 (10:00) – 25.09.2020 (10:00) there were 42 deaths (25 men and 17 women), of some patients infected by the new coronavirus, hospitalized in Alba, Arad, Bacău, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Brașov, Buzău, Caraș-Severin, Covasna, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Iași, Mehedinți, Prahova, Timiș, Vaslui, Ilfov and Bucharest.

Of these, 3 deaths were recorded in the age category 40 to 49 years, 5 deaths in the age category 50 to 59 years, 10 deaths in the age category 60 to 69 years, 14 deaths in the age category of age 70 to 79 years and 10 deaths in the category of over 80 years.

41 of the deaths registered were of some patients who presented comorbidities and 1 deceased patient did not present comorbidities.

In specialized health units, the total number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 is 7,245. Of these, 508 are hospitalized in ATI.

To date, 2,328,322 tests have been processed nationwide. Of these, 25,494 were carried out in the last 24 hours, 15,879 based on case definition and medical protocol and 9,615 on request.

In Romania, 9,352 people confirmed with the new coronavirus infection are isolated at home and 7,004 people are institutionally isolated. Additionally, 23,850 people are in home quarantine and 179 people are in institutionalized quarantine.

In the last 24 hours, 1,145 calls were registered to the single emergency number 112 and 561 to the TELVERDE line (0800 800 358), opened especially to inform the public.

As a result of the violation of the provisions of Law no. 55 of 05.15.2020 on some measures to prevent and combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the police and gendarmes applied, in the last 24 hours, 467 penalties for minor offenses, worth 159,275 lei.

Likewise, through the competent structures of the Police, yesterday 4 crimes were found to frustrate the fight against diseases, a fact foreseen and sanctioned by art. 352 Penal Code.

We remind the public that the Ministry of the Interior has put into operation, as of 04/07/2020, a TELVERDE line (0800800165) where infractions to sanitary protection regulations can be notified.

The calls are answered by a dispatcher, in an integrated system, and distributed to the territorial structures for the verification of the notified issues.

Regarding the situation of Romanian citizens in other states, it was confirmed that 6,693 Romanian citizens were infected with COVID-19 (coronavirus): 1,917 in Italy, 1,253 in Spain, 124 in France, 2,935 in Germany, 159 in Great Britain. , 28 in the Netherlands, 2 in Namibia, 4 in the USA, 119 in Austria, 20 in Belgium, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Switzerland, 3 in Turkey, 2 in Iceland, 2 in Belarus, 93 in Greece, 5 in Cyprus, 2 in India, 2 in Ukraine and one in Argentina, Tunisia, Ireland, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Malta, Brazil, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Sweden, Republic of the Congo, Hungary and Qatar.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 (coronavirus) epidemic until now, 126 Romanian citizens abroad, 31 in Italy, 19 in France, 43 in Great Britain, 11 in Spain, 14 in Germany, 2 in Belgium, one in Sweden, one in Switzerland, one in the United States, one in Brazil, one in the Republic of the Congo and one in Greece, have died.

Of the Romanian citizens confirmed with the new coronavirus, 428 were declared cured: 308 in Germany, 90 in Greece, 18 in France, 6 in Japan, 2 in Indonesia, 2 in Namibia, one in Luxembourg and one in Tunisia.
