The sociological research by Novel Research was carried out in the last week of the election campaign and measures the voting intentions of Bucharest residents in the upcoming local elections on Sunday. According to the data provided by this investigation, Nicușor Dan has a slight advantage over Gabriela Firea, the two being separated by only 2 percent.

Thus, according to published data, Nicușor Dan, the candidate supported by the PNL and the USR – PLUS Alliance, is accredited with 42% while Gabriela Firea, the incumbent mayor, candidate of the PSD, has the support of 40% of voters.

In third place is the PMP candidate, Traian Basescu, who is credited with 9% of the voting intentions.

According to the Novel Research poll, 55.6% of respondents said they would go to the polls safely. It is worth mentioning that the investigation was carried out between September 23 and 24, by telephone, on a sample of 840 people and has a margin of error of 3.7%.

An IRSOP poll was released on Thursday that gave Gabriela Firea, winner of Sunday’s election, a score of 42%. In this investigation, Nicușor Dan is credited with 35% of the votes, and Traian Băsescu, the candidate placed in third place, receives 15% of the votes from the people of Bucharest.
