His wife and children searched desperately for four months while the man’s body was in the morgue. They recently discovered the truth about the mysterious disappearance, when the mayor of the Fălciu commune, where Gheorghe Crăciun hails from, reviewed the lists of citizens who have the right to vote.

The information was sent from the Ploiești City Council. I called the deceased’s wife at the town hall and called the Ploiești Population Register. Those there confirmed that the man has been dead since May 23. The death certificate was issued on September 10. The woman began to cry, she did not believe that her husband was dead. I also called IPJ Prahova, and there he did not appear as dead. I spoke with a commissioner, who was convinced that the man died only after consulting the Population Registry. “

The man’s family did their best to find him.

On Wednesday, the family collected Gheorghe Crăciun’s body from the morgue and buried it in the village cemetery on Thursday.

“The husband was the mainstay of the house. I don’t know how we will manage without him. On May 23, when my husband called me, he was in a good mood. He arrived at the station with a friend who gave him 100 lei to buy his ticket. After a while I called him, but someone else answered his phone. He told me that my husband had gone to sell scrap metal. I realized that something was wrong, and after 2:00 p.m., the phone was off, ” the deceased’s wife told Libertatea.

His body remained in the hospital morgue until September 23, when the family did their best to locate the man. He announced his disappearance to the Vaslui Police, made calls on social networks, went to identify the bodies of foreigners found dead in suspicious conditions, but to no avail.

“They found him in a ditch”

“I reported his disappearance on May 24 to the Vaslui police. A week later, we called the Ploiești hospital and they told us they had no patient named Gheorghe Crăciun. I called after a few days, the same answer. I went to Ploiești and spoke. with a commissioner Alin Ungureanu, from the police station, who told me that he did not know anything about him. I learned that the rescue found my husband in a ditch, with his head in the leaves, with some bottles there. They examined him in the hospital and they found no alcohol or drugs. The cause of death was a heart attack. The husband did not have heart problems, but he smoked, “said the deceased’s wife.

Prahova police have opened a criminal case for wrongful death

“On May 25 of this year, the Ploieşti Police were notified by the hospital unit about the fact that the person in question died, in this case a criminal case was opened for wrongful death. The controls revealed that on May 23 of this year, the man allegedly complained of a state of illness while he was in the southern part of the city, after which he was taken by a crew and hospitalized, ”according to the Bureau. The Prahova police leadership is now checking why the police officer did not notify the relatives of the man found dead and why he incorrectly wrote in the file that Gheorghe Crăciun has no relatives.
