Doctors at the “Victor Babes” Infectious Diseases Hospital in Timisoara were unable to save the life of the military priest Radu-Cosmin Bogdan, who was hospitalized ten days ago with COVID-19.
“With deep sorrow in our souls we announce that the military priest Dr. Radu-Cosmin Bogdan (1983-2020) passed into the eternals on September 23, 2020, after a brief and very hard suffering. He was born in Timisoara, on June 13, 1983, into a family of good Orthodox Christians, who offered him growth and a chosen education, ”the press office of the Orthodox Archdiocese transmitted.
The priest died of a cardiopulmonary arrest. He suffered from grade I obesity, which has an increased risk of complications from infection with the new coronavirus SARS-Cov-2, but had no other comorbidities. Immediately after his hospitalization, a call for plasma donation was sent out.
“The military priest of the Timisoara garrison, Father Radu Bogdan, was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is hospitalized in the Victor Babes hospital, ATI department. We appeal to patients who have been through the disease and wish to donate Rh positive plasma from group B III for transfusion treatment to increase the father’s chances of recovery, ”the Military Hospital announced on September 12. Priest Radu-Cosmin Bogdan was married with three children.
Radu-Cosmin Bogdan attended the theology class at the National College “Carmen Sylva” in Timisoara. In 2007 he obtained a degree in Theology from the Faculty of Letters, History and Theology of the West University of Timisoara, after which he completed his theological training obtaining, in 2013, the title of Doctor of Theology from the Faculty of Theology. “Andrei Saguna” from the “Lucian Blaga” University of Sibiu. In the period 2015-2018 he attends the courses of the “Gheorghe Dima” Academy of Music of Cluj-Napoca, Specialization in Musical Pedagogy.
